Michigan International Speedway was the setting for the 4th annual Car and Driver 0-150-0 Supercar Challenge. See the full story in the CAR and DRIVER Nov 04 issue, pg 46.

The event is designed to pit high-performance street cars (developed mostly by "tuners") against each other in a variety of performance situations, including zero-60 mph, 1/4mi, road-course handling, and stopping distance from 150 mph to zero.

The day prior to the performance testing at MIS, the vehicles are all driven and evaluated on the street
(for about 200 miles) by various magazine writers. The combined street and track performance determine the vehicle's overall ranking.

This year, marks the first time the field was categorized into 2 classes: Open and Sedan.
By the official rules, a sedan is classified as any car with a full backseat. This allowed vehicles such as the Mitsubishi EVO to enter the sedan class--a potent contender considering it is so light, has all-wheel-drive, and a BIG turbo.

Mallett Cars LTD entered a Cadillac CTS-V (s/n-04-V-003) with our standard conversion package and optional supercharged 7.0L engine.

How did we do? Well, the official results are listed below.
The Mallett section begins on pg. 60 in the magazine, or you can click HERE.

Zero-60: 4.3 sec (tire limited)
1/4 mi: 12.4 sec @ 125 mph
Road course: 50.8 sec
100-150 mph: 9.9 sec (next closest was 12.9 sec!)
150-zero: 797 ft
Overall course time: 103.9 sec

The Mallett CTS-V also won a special award for "Fastest Acceleration From 100 to 150 mph". Icing on the cake!
